Send the documents to your customer and let them know to complete the following steps. It is always best for your customer to consult a tax professional!
Step 1
Go to the ECMD Submission Site and click "apply," then follow the steps in the "Instructions" document.
Step 2
Submit the form and all required documents. You should receive an email from ECMD confirming your submission. Keep an eye out for any communication from ECMD notifying you of further information needed.
Step 3
Once your application is accepted, the state of NM will send you a certificate of eligibility which you can then submit with form TRD-41406 when you file your taxes in the Spring.
